A Tiny Dog with a Huge Mammary Tumor

Cindy Lou Who is a tiny Yorkie with a huge mammary tumor. She came into a rural shelter as a stray, but based on her medical condition, she was either very neglected for a very long time, or she was dumped... possibly by a breeder. She's now safe with FUR and getting the love and proper care that she deserves.

Thank you Erin Kupcha for temp fostering and helping to put a plan together. Thank you Torena Rowe and Joan Sosin for transporting her, and thank you Ellie Struck for fostering this sweet little girl. Thank you Dr. Bissell and the staff at Sandbridge Veterinary Center for taking good care of our baby, and to Erica Lee at Paw Shapers mobile groomers for making her look and feel like a million dollar baby.

She will undergo surgery to remove the mass and we will get her a consult at SEVO to see if she can have electro chemotherapy after her surgery.

If you’d like to help Cindy Lou and other dogs like her, please consider a tax deductible donation to Florida Urgent Rescue.

Donations are DOUBLED and new monthly donations are QUADRUPLED up to $50K through 12/31/24 thanks to a very generous matching Grant from the Dolores Barr Weaver Legacy Fund.

Sick and injured animals like Cindy Lou need help fast. Every donation helps, but Monthly donors give us flexibility to respond immediately when there is an emergency. When there is a hoarding case or a hurricane, a dog with a gunshot wound or a cruelty case, we have to act quickly. We don't have time to do a fundraiser, and wait for those funds to get to us. Your monthly donation can help us save lives again and again.
