When Teddy arrived at FUR from Putnam County in June, we were shocked by the horrific burns on his back. Sadly, this wasn't an isolated incident; we've seen two other Putnam dogs with similar injuries. The pain he must have endured is unimaginable, and we can't fathom why anyone would inflict such cruelty on a defenseless animal.

Thankfully, Teddy's story has a happy ending. He was immediately hospitalized at Palm Valley Veterinary Center, where Dr. Mack provided expert treatment and daily hyperbaric therapy to aid his healing. A team of dedicated fosters, including Dr. Martina Sander, Mercia and Tom Noble, and Valerie and Brad Losego, stepped up to provide Teddy with a safe and loving environment as he recovered.

Countless trips to Palm Valley for follow-up care and additional hyperbaric sessions paid off. Little by little, Teddy's wounds healed, and he finally got to experience the joys of being a puppy, playing with other dogs and enjoying life to the fullest.

We're overjoyed to announce that Teddy (now Freddie!) has found his forever home with the Blowers family, who welcomed Freddie with open arms. Valerie, who played a crucial role in his journey, conducted the home visit and ensured a perfect match.
